HMH "Into Science" Suggested Pacing & Slide Decks
Google slide decks aligned to each HMH Lesson are linked in the pacing guide below. Slide decks were created by CCSD teachers using HMH materials and mirror student activity guides. These provide one option for presenting material to students. A teacher could also choose to use student interactives from the Ed platform found in Classlink. Teachers may also find this lesson planning template helpful.
The spreadsheet above represents a suggested pacing guide adapted from the publisher's detailed pacing guide for third grade. It is based on the "Core Path" but notes lessons that could be excluded if a teacher wanted to follow the "Short on Time Path". Units are sequenced in order from Unit 1-Unit 5.
There are multiple opportunities to extend lessons with additional experiences such as FUNomenal Readers, digital interactives in Ed, as well as Generation Genius videos.
