It is helpful for students to remain on a schedule to promote learning at home. Below are some ideas to help your family create a schedule to keep students engaged and productive.
Tips for learning at home
Create a learning space in your home where your child can focus and have access to the learning tools they may need including:
Pencils, crayons, markers
Paper, learning packets
Books, workbooks, flash cards
Charged mobile device
Include break times
Students can focus on a task for 10-30 minutes depending on age
Motivate your child to complete learning activities
Provide rewards for completing work
Create a checklist and celebrate as tasks are checked off
Give choices on how to complete work
For example, let children choose the order of the tasks
Build in time for play and exercise
