This year, under the theme of Social Justice, we will strive for Unity and a strong and capable community insha’allah. But how?

Set up stalls on campus with thought provoking artwork + capture the thoughts from participants

Social Justice issues currently happening around the world
Have a Social Justice-related Book Swap/ Book Discussion
Invite your members to bring Social Justice related books with them and exchange these with other members
Set up a comfy space for members to sit down and have discussions on the books they have read and key messages and takeaways from them
Bring out those creative juices with a Tatreez Workshop or Calligraphy Night.
Create calligraphy of Quranic verses related to Social Justice.
Sell Social Justice-related pins/ stickers/ artwork
There may be local artists/ artists within your Institution.
You could sell these alongside your bake sales/ henna stalls.
You could also set up a stall at your events.
Ask your local Imam/ Sheikh to deliver a Jummah khutbah related to Social Justice + collect donations from the congregation for Charity Week
Have a Social Justice-related Jeopardy/Trivia Night
Allow your members to learn more about key Social Justice figures and Social Justice movements
The rounds could be related to key Social Justice figures e.g. Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela etc.
The rounds could also be related to Social Justice Movements that have taken place around the world.
Have a Social Justice-themed Scavenger Hunt or Escape Room that simulates different nations facing different injustices (poverty, hunger war etc.)
Flower distribution - Hand out flowers on campus with a Social Justice related Hadith attached to each one
Hold Panel Discussions / Webinars with thought leader
Hold workshops around Social Justice especially in Islamic contexts

Set up an Escape Room Have a Human Library Event
Give individuals who have faced and experienced social injustices a room and voice
Local Justice Platforms
Gather experts from your communities, campuses etc. who share their skills with those in need locally and also globally (justice in giving those not connected access to information they would not have)
Hold a Potluck food event OR cooking workshop focusing on national traditional dishes and cooking methods
