Oral Evaluation 1

Escoge un tema que representa un aspecto importante de la cultura de un país.  

Primero, identifica algo que es interesante o que las personas no saben sobre tu tema. (¿Es parte importante de una tradición o celebración?)

Luego, cuentanos sobre la historia. ¿Cuál es el origen?

Entonces, dinos cómo o por qué te ineresa el tema. (¿Hay diferentes interpretaciones sobre el tema?)

Finalmente, danos una conclusión. (¿Hay algo más que debemos aprender sobre el tema?) 

Minimum requirements:

2 to 3 Minutes in Spanish

Must include a visual component (powerpoint) with minimal text (no sentences, only bullets or dates)

Must not use English or only use when appropriate. 

Must not read. (20% automatic deduction if reading)

May use a 3x5 flashcard for key words or dates

No video or audio in powerpoint

Rubric: 

90 or more points: met time requirement, was organized and prepared, did not read, spoke/pronounced clearly in Spanish, used visual appropriately and effectively, demonstrated solid knowledge of content and included relevant vocabulary and grammar with few or no errors

80 to 89.99pts: met time requirement, was somewhat organized and prepared, read sometimes, spoke in Spanish with some errors in pronunciation, visual was not always used effectively, demonstrated solid knowledge of content and included relevant vocabulary and grammar with minor errors

70 to 79.99pts: met time requirement, was somewhat organized and prepared, read, spoke in Spanish with some errors in pronunciation, somewhat used visual effectively, demonstrated some knowledge of content and included some relevant vocabulary and grammar with errors. 

69.99 or less: did not meet one or more minimum requirements and/or was unable to present without reading or used excessive English.
