Sarawak Society for the Blind

Sarawak Society for the Blind (SSB) is a non-profit organisation held with the objective of introducing and improving better policies, as well as implementing programmes that assist the blinds to integrate within the society. There are three branches located in Sarawak, being Kuching, Sibu and Miri branch. Champs Education is actively working with the Miri branch of SSB, in which we helped by providing resources and running projects for the organisation.

Champs had also ran projects in collaboration of SSB and Champs together; one of them being the Impact Appathon 2023 where SSB Miri was one of the beneficiary organisations (the other one being Empalai Kitai). The participants got to interview the clients from the SSB and showcase their mobile app made for the organisation. SSB was also one of the organisations that attended the closing ceremony to choose the Choice Award App to continue to develop for public launch in 2023.
