We take immense pride in the unwavering dedication exhibited by our team members, whose tremendous efforts have propelled us to achieve the significant milestone of 750+ branches. Our mission is to expand our reach nationwide and improve the lives of even more individuals in rural India.
I'm excited to share the significant achievements of Chaitanya's Risk function. We have successfully implemented the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and ICAAP. We've also completed Risk Mapping across key functions, providing valuable insights into risk and controls. The introduction of the Third-Party Risk Management Framework will enhance our ability to manage third-party risks effectively. Additionally, promising results have emerged from pilot projects such as Parametric Insurance, which provides coverage against weather and climate risks. We have bolstered our Risk Governance by establishing the Executive Risk Management Committee, Zonal Risk Management Committee, in addition to the existing Risk Management Committee.
Looking ahead, it is imperative that we prioritize data privacy, cyber security, and compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act. We must also remain vigilant regarding social and political risks associated with upcoming elections in five states in India. Your commitment is pivotal to ensuring effective Risk Governance and maintaining our resilience.

Amidst the bustling urban landscape of Bangalore, an enthusiastic team embarked on a journey to the tranquil town of Gundulpete. The serenity and modesty of the locals served as a revitalizing experience for our team. It was in this peaceful setting that we had the pleasure of meeting our customer, Mrs. Bhagya. She is a mother of two children, unwavering in her determination to secure a bright future for her family.
In her own neighborhood, Mrs. Bhagya has established a modest shop, which she manages with the support of her family. Although it may be small in size, the shop, as depicted in the accompanying image, plays a vital role in providing essential goods for the daily needs of the local community. Located 15 kilometers away from the town, this shop serves as a lifeline for nearby residents, offering them a convenient source for essential items and everyday stationery.
With the financial support provided by Chaitanya, Mrs. Bhagya has ambitions to expand her business. She envisions offering imitation jewellery and other items, making it easier for young girls and women in her community to access such products without having to travel long distances.
Mrs. Bhagya is not merely an individual striving to generate a secondary income; she is an inspiration to women and girls in her community. Her aspirations extend beyond her current shop, and she envisions establishing new branches to make her business a household name.

Chaitanya's CSR Initiatives : Illuminating lives and providing hope
At Chaitanya, we hold a firm belief in the power of creating positive ripples of change. This quarter, we have embarked on two significant CSR initiatives that have touched the lives of many in a meaningful way. Here is a detailed account of these endeavors:
1. Empowering Rural Education in Jharkhand: In our continuous pursuit of bettering lives, we have taken a significant step towards illuminating the path of knowledge for school children in rural areas. Chaitanya has initiated vibrant learning centers in Sirohi Khurd, Kewal, and Rabda villages of Jharkhand. Since August 1st, 2023, these well-equipped centers have transformed into bustling hubs of learning for the young minds in these regions.
The dedicated teachers are actively engaged in imparting knowledge to the children through a combination of offline and online classes. This humble initiative is aimed at bringing the light of education to the hearts of rural communities. Already, 90 students from middle and high schools are reaping the benefits, and the power of education is creating waves of excitement, promoting self-sufficiency and confidence among them.
2. Extending a Helping Hand in Times of Need: In the face of devastating heavy rainfall and river floods that engulfed the villages of Chondi and Biloli in the heart of Maharashtra in July and August 2023, Chaitanya's CSR activity emerged as a beacon of hope for the region. We extended a helping hand to approximately 1000 families, providing them with a lifeline during their difficult times.
On the 23rd of August 2023, our Chaitanya team, of Maharashtra, came together at the village panchayat office to distribute grocery bags to the affected families. These families received standard quality grocery items, filling their homes with sustenance and warmth. The true essence of humanity was palpable in the smiles and overwhelming gratitude that emanated from the hearts of those who had found solace in their hour of need.
In the face of adversity, we have proven that with love and support, we have the power to transform lives. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the remarkable Chaitanya team, spanning, CSR, admin, and business, for identifying the requirements and swiftly requesting aid.
These initiatives resonate with our unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of these extraordinary children and adults. Let's continue to spread smiles and kindness in the world through our humble efforts, knowing that every small action can make a significant difference.

AKMI Karnataka Microfinance Summit
In a remarkable gathering of key players from various Microfinance institutes in Karnataka, the AKMI Karnataka Microfinance Summit took place on September 12, 2023, at Bangalore. This impactful event, skillfully organized by AKMI, played a pivotal role in its resounding success.
One of the summit's most noteworthy moments was the assembly of industry experts who generously shared their profound insights into the microfinance landscape. Particularly, Mr. N. Srinivasan, a prominent figure in the sector, unveiled his latest publication, "Microfinance in Karnataka." This book delves deep into the microfinance market in Karnataka, providing a comprehensive analysis of its present state, the challenges it faces, and a forward-looking perspective.
Throughout the summit, engaging discussions revolved around strategies aimed at empowering Microfinance institutions in Karnataka. These conversations addressed the multifaceted challenges confronting the sector, with a strong emphasis on the significance of innovative products, elevating the customer experience, harnessing technological advancements, and exploring opportunities for collaboration.

Fitness Initiative @ Chaitanya - Bangalore HO
At Chaitanya, we foster a culture which imparts emphasis on fitness. Towards these objective numerous initiatives are under taken in our organization for our Chaitanyaites over all well-being. Regular physical
activity is one of the most important things one can do for health. Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your
ability to do everyday activities. Towards this objective we have a Chaitanya Whatsapp wellness group as well.
In the month of July, we have initiated a Fitness Routine for our employees wherein alternate days they engage in fitness program after office hours. Mr. Chetan, a freelance fitness trainer who has 5 years of experience in fitness training and is a nutritionist is assisting us with this objective.
Through this initiative, we are committed to supporting our employees in achieving a healthier work-life balance and empowering them to thrive both personally and professionally.

Mahadev Biradar, a dedicated member of the Chaitanya team, has been a part of our family for over two and a half years. With a career spanning back to 2006 in the microfinance industry, he understands the demands and pressures that come with office life, just like any other professional. In the past, he grappled with sleepless nights due to work-related stress. However, his life took a transformative turn when he adopted a consistent exercise routine.
Mahadev's journey towards a healthier lifestyle began with a doctor's recommendation. Both he and his wife were advised to incorporate exercise into their daily lives to address certain health concerns. Recognizing the importance of maintaining a healthy body, mind, and soul, he took the first steps towards a more balanced and well-rounded existence.
Inspiration played a pivotal role in Mahadev's fitness journey. He credits the encouragement he received from our Zonal Manager, Mr. Binit, and Cluster Manager, Mr. Rajendar Nandgwali, who motivated him to establish a daily morning exercise routine. They emphasized that true wellness encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual aspects.
Remarkably, Mahadev's exercise routine doesn't involve any fancy equipment or complicated workouts. He simply incorporates a daily walk into his regimen. He has been faithfully walking since December last year. Mahadev passionately advocates dedicating one hour each day to prioritize health and fitness, firmly believing that good health is the cornerstone for maintaining a positive outlook on life and finding relief from the daily stresses we all encounter.
Currently, Mahadev maintains an impressive average step count of approximately 6,000 steps per hour. His ambitious goal is to achieve 10,000 steps per hour by the end of this year. His commitment to this workout routine has equipped him with the resilience needed to tackle professional and personal challenges. He enjoys sustained energy throughout the day and unwavering dedication to his daily targets.
In addition to his personal commitment, Mahadev acknowledges the supportive Chaitanya Wellness WhatsApp group, which has kept him grounded and motivated on his holistic wellness journey. His story serves as an inspiring reminder that taking proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle can empower us to conquer life's trials with vigour and positivity. Let Mahadev's journey inspire us all to prioritize our well-being and embrace a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Chaitanya Year End Celebration
With great pride and boundless enthusiasm, the Chaitanyaites at our Bangalore office experienced an unforgettable night of jubilation during the Year-End Celebration conducted in the month of July, 2023. This remarkable event was a testament to our commitment to recognizing and celebrating the consistent efforts of our employees.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of silver coins to employees who have dedicated five years or more to the organization. This act of recognition not only symbolizes loyalty but also serves as a token of our appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
