Is there a program or an app you want to purchase? Consider the following:

Purpose and Alignment: Does the tool meet a specific need? Is it aligned to your content standards? Is it developmentally appropriate?

Educational Best Practice: Does the tool allow for customization and differentiation? Does it provide accessibility for all learners? 

User-friendliness: Does it support independent student use?

Data and Privacy: Does this program have a clear privacy policy and terms of service appropriate for your grade level? Does the program use data to advertise or market to students? Are there safeguards in place to secure student data? Will the program sell student data to third parties?

Logistics: Does the program offerer a single sign-on (sign in with Google/Clever/No sign-in required)? Is the program compatible with chromebooks?
