NEW CFHS Bell Schedule - Beginning November 9th
You can find a video describing our new Hybrid schedule HERE.
Please see the below schedule as changes have been made to the times of each period.
Chagrin Falls High School administration and staff have worked diligently to adjust the hybrid bell schedule to accommodate the needs of all students. After soliciting feedback from students, parents, and staff, the following changes have been made to the bell schedule:
Lunch has been extended to accommodate student travel between morning and afternoon sessions.
Periods 1-4 will take place in the morning and periods 5-Tiger period will take place in the afternoon to accommodate students in Excel TECC programs and students participating in off campus CCP courses
CFMS will now participate in virtual Friday classes which enables us to run one bell schedule on Friday as opposed to two
We have opted to stay in a block schedule as it will minimize transitions in the building, consistent with safety protocol. Furthermore, with this new schedule, we will have the ability to transition from Hybrid, to All-In, or Remote, seamlessly.
The new bell schedule will go into effect on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9th.

AP Testing Fees Due November 5th
The AP Program of the College Board has been developed to provide college-level courses to motivated high school students. AP courses provide academic acceleration and the opportunity for advanced students to obtain college placement and/or credit while in high school. We are pleased that your son/daughter is participating in the Advanced Placement Program this year.
AP examinations will take place from May 3rd through May 14th. All students who are enrolled in AP classes at Chagrin Falls High School are required to take the AP Exams. The current fee for AP Seminar and AP Research classes is $143. The fee for all other exams is $95.
Due to the change made by the College Board last year regarding test registration, students are required to register and pay for all AP exams in the fall. Registration for AP tests has already taken place in the classroom with your son/daughter’s AP teacher.
Test fees are due by November 5th. Checks should be made payable to Chagrin Falls High School and given to Mrs. Hancock in the Counseling Office. Due to the change in the AP registration timeline, if your student decides to drop his/her AP course at the semester, you will forfeit the exam fee.
If you have additional questions regarding the AP Program, please call the Counseling Office at 440-247-2209.
PSAT Testing Information
Junior students who were unable to take the PSAT in October will have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT on January 26th. If a student already tested on October 29th, they are not eligible for the January test date. The PSAT is a particularly important test as it yields data utilized by faculty in determining qualification for Advanced Placement courses for the 2021-2022 school year. Students are encouraged to take a serious approach to the PSAT due to the implications associated with accessing academic opportunities at the High School.
What is the cost of the PSAT? There is a $20.00 testing fee for all 11th grade students who choose to take the PSAT/NMSQT.
When is the registration period? 11th grade students must register to have the ability to take the PSAT/NMSQT with Mrs. Hancock in the Counseling Office between January 5th and January 19th. Checks made payable to Chagrin Falls High School or cash should be given to Mrs. Hancock at that time.
Attendance
Please contact the office (440-247-2043) for any and all questions related to attendance. While your child may have communicated an absence with their teachers, it is still the expectation that a parent communicates with the attendance office in the event of an absence, both virtually and in person. Please take a few moments to review the attendance and absence information linked HERE. Included is information relative to Planned absences, what to do if your child has an appointment, and information relative to excessive absences and habitual truancy. This information can also be found on the left hand side of the High School website under the Absences tab.
Please Fax Appointment verification documents to 440-247-2071.
Curriculum Night
Chagrin Falls High School recently hosted a virtual curriculum night for the 20-21 school year. Teachers created short videos that included information about their classes including, but not limited to: how to contact each teacher with questions or concerns, course expectations for both virtual and in-person students, and available supports for students. Videos are available to parents HERE.
