Summer 2022 Counselor Availability

Beginning this summer, Chagrin Falls High School counselors will be available each week throughout the summer. We recognize that students and parents have questions and needs they would like to address prior to August. Although your child's counselor may not be available during a particular week, you have the ability to talk with another counselor to address your questions or needs. The summer counselor availability schedule will be as follows:

6/24: Mrs. Newton

6/27: Mrs. Newton

6/29: Mrs. Kover

7/8: Mrs. Kover

7/11: Mrs. Kover

7/18: Mrs. Newton

Summer Reading Information

AP Boot Camps

AP Boot Camps will be held during the summer for the following subjects: AP Research, AP Seminar, AP Physics I, and AP World History. AP Boot Camps are not required, however, they provide your student an opportunity to better prepare for the 2022-2023 school year. Preparing for the 2022-2023 School Year

Picture and Paperwork Day: Parking Passes, School Pictures, Fees, and Student Schedules

In an effort to reduce the amount of school time devoted to administrative procedures, students may pay fees, register for parking passes and pick-up schedules on Friday, August 12th from 8:00am - 11:30am in the High School Commons. Once all forms and fees are submitted, students can access their schedule and purchase parking passes.

Student Parking

Parking passes will be sold to Juniors and Seniors who have submitted all their forms and have paid all student fees. Students must have a valid driver’s license only. Parking passes will be sold for $30 with a completed application (available here), payment must be made on site via check or cash on August 12th during Paperwork and Picture Day. Only cars with permits are allowed to park on school property in posted student parking lots.

Freshmen Orientation

Freshmen students are invited to orientation activities on Thursday, August 11th at 8:00am in the HS Gym. Freshmen should check their school emails for more specific information; an invitation will be sent at the end of June.

New Student Orientation

New students entering grades 10 through 12 are invited to orientation activities on Thursday August 11th at 12:30pm in the High School Library. The orientation will provide students with information and advice on transitioning to Chagrin Falls High School. Students will have the opportunity to learn about academics, extra-curricular offerings, building procedures, locate their lockers and classrooms, and be introduced to other important informational items that will ensure a smooth start to the school year.

Medication Pickup

IF YOUR STUDENT HAS MEDICATION(S) AT SCHOOL, please pickup your student’s medication(s) by the end of the school day, Monday, June 6th. Any medications left at school after that date will be disposed of in accordance with Ohio law. Please contact your student’s school clinic if you have any questions.

Medication order forms, including Allergy, Asthma, Diabetic and Seizure Action Plans need to be renewed every school year; they do not carry over from year to year. All medication forms and Action Plans can be found on the Health Services section of the schools’ website https://www.chagrinschools.org/HealthServices1.aspx
