"Save Our Soil" is a start-up enterprise led by Jian Ra commenced in 2021. Our organization's shortened title is S.O.S, an abbreviated term used normally in emergent situations. Our planet is also in an urgent state of affairs, which we chose to use S.O.S as an expression to save our soil, and ultimately save our world. Within the passionate community of Save the Soil, ambitious individuals who are determined to regenerate the planet will collaborate and motivate more people. We firmly believe that small actions could initiate great accomplishments.
Our Chosen UN Sustainable Development Goals
Save Our Soil will be donating fresh vegetables, some of our products (bracelets, clothes, etc made with healthy materials), and the profits we earned by selling our goods to the community in need to decrease Earth poverty.
Save Our Soil will sell and donate fresh vegetables to the public. Consuming vegetables grown with healthy soil will result in a healthy body. Quality of soil leads to quality of food and lastly to the quality of our health.
Everything runs by carbon. However in the current status quo, this main component for humankind to live is getting polluted. Soil microorganisms, will produce fresh carbon to the air - better environment.
The ground will get healthier if we continue to produce plants with healthy soil and cease the act of using toxic chemicals that will eventually kill the soil and leave us with unhealthy plants to consume.
Inspiration
Save Our Soil developed the idea of using microorganisms as a simple solution to change the world after watching the documentary film, "Kiss the Ground". This film mentioned the severeness of our planet and that we are headed for a cliff. As a solution, this video points out that soil can be the new path for humanity and the way to heal our planet.
Gonjiam Valley, Save Our Soil's founder, Jian Ra's second house has a microbiological laboratory and a place to grow plants using soil microorganisms and other facilities. Growing up in this area, Jian started to build up more interest in soil and the things that are happening in nature. She also got to know about the ongoing crisis - Climate change. Until now, Jian has helped to harvest crops and through her progress, she recognized that microorganisms would be the most simple, effective, and fastest approach to bring climate change to an end.
