Across his career, Dr. Waldron has taken on increasing administrative leadership at departmental and college-wide settings.
2022 to present: Director, The Literacy Center, Central Michigan University
Directs/leads the three-prong focus of The Literacy Center: (1) developing and leading professional development for educators, Birth to 12th grade, within the state of Michigan, (2) facilitating community-based and virtual format literacy tutoring (interventions) for school-age children, and (3) leading/co-leading research projects connected to The Literacy Center for literacy education, professional development, and literacy change efforts.
Manages the budgetary (grant and donor lines) responsibilities of the annual operations and initiatives of the Center.
2021-2022: Director of CAEP Accreditation, University of Michigan Flint
Collaboratively lead the successful reaccreditation efforts for CAEP. (First accreditation cycle with CAEP from NCATE.)
Completed all state review reports for 17 certifications/endorsements offered by UM-Flint's Educator Preparation Programs, bringing all programs into state compliance and recertification for another seven years.
2019-2022: Director, Reading Center, University of Michigan-Flint
Directed/lead the Reading Center at UM-Flint through three successful "Summer Literacy Camps"- the signature offering of the Reading Center and 100% donor funded.
Directed/lead professional development opportunities with educational stakeholders around literacy interventions in early childhood and elementary education.
