OUR PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH
2025-2026 ENROLLMENT IS OPEN!
OUR PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH
We strive to provide an extraordinary wonder based, joyful educational experience for young children, mindfully partnering with parents to facilitate the social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional, and spiritual development of every child and family.
Through innovative pedagogical programs, we offer young children the opportunity to develop self-confidence and self-awareness, enhance their academic skills and creative capabilities, and build their individual Jewish identity in a caring environment. We stress the importance of the process of learning. Children come to the realization that often knowing how to find the answer or ask the question is more useful than the answer itself.
We offer a distinctive curriculum that introduces children to the fundamental components of higher learning at an early age. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, children are encouraged to express their thinking, ideas, and emotions. We foster each child’s inherent curiosity about their world and the powerful potential to learn from all that surrounds them. Our highly qualified teachers work closely with students in an intimate classroom setting where they explore everything from Art and language to physical education, music, and the natural world.
Our program teaches children essential concepts, while expanding their skills in collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication. Our intentional and connected curriculum cultivates early learners providing them with a strong foundation to be creative, curious, resilient risk-takers.

EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOMS
Two and three-year-olds develop at a rapid pace. We facilitate the learning process through play and hands-on activities encouraging children to find their voice through exploration and creativity. They have access to an abundance of materials to discover, probe, query, and imagine. The learning experiences can be based on many things- interests, developmental tasks, Jewish holidays, or even unexpected events.
Deeply rooted in social and emotional learning, our classrooms are places where children feel loved, safe, part of their classroom community, and free to explore. Our students learn how to collaborate and become contributing members to their Jewish community.
A DAY IN 3-K FOR ALL
Pre-Kindergarten is a year of exploring, discovery, learning and growing. Throughout this year, our students are exposed to new and interesting materials, concepts, and ideas. Children ask questions and investigate answers. They learn how to work together collaboratively as well as independently. The class becomes a community of learners built on strong friendships. Children learn how to problem solve with their peers and work through difficult social situations. Robust Units of Study aligned to the NYS Foundation to Common Core Learning Standards are a vehicle for many of our in-depth explorations. They are embedded with rich learning opportunities that provide the optimum foundation for academic learning.
The New York City Department of Education’s free Full Day Pre-Kindergarten for All Program is offered to all eligible four-year-olds residing in New York City with the option to add our Judaic Extension.
