COVID-19 Essay Project

Write a 1-3-1 essay on the events happening in American today as they relate to COVID-19. This should include an intro, three body paragraphs and a conclusion. If you cite sources, you must include a works cited page. Reputable sources are important. FYI - Wiki-pedia is not a reputable source. Do not plagiarize!

Week - April 20-24

Stay At Home - Essay

As you may know or not, the stay at home order that our Governor Roy Cooper issued is suppose to expire on April 29, 2020. Do you feel that the stay at home order should be lifted and we get back to our normal lives or do you feel that we need to stay at home longer? These are questions that our state will be facing very soon. Some believe that opening our state too early more cause others to be expose to the COVID-19 virus while on the other hand, some believe that we need to go ahead and get back to work and back to our normal lives.

Your assignment for this week April 20-24 will be to write a 1 page essay on what you feel are your personal beliefs on the question above. You may discuss this with your family or you may choose to answer this on your own. I want your personal opinion on how you feel about opening our state from the stay at home order.

When you have finished your essay, simply send it to me via Google classroom.

End To This School Year - Essay

You assignment this week April 27 through May 1 is generally on the same lines of what you had to do last week. I would like for you to write an another essay on a different topic. One essay with two topic’s to cover.

#1 – Now that school is not opening for the remaining of this school year, what are your thoughts on this subject and #2 – Do you think that school will open on time for our next school year.

Make sure you use proper punctuation and sentence form. Make sure your essay is at least 1 whole page.

How You Feel About Virtual Learning - Essay

This weeks assignment is to tell me how you feel about virtual learning. Some students love it while other students hate it. There are so many mixed emotions about virtual learning. I want you to tell me how you feel about it. Is it hard, easy, do you love it or hate it. Is virtual learning helping you to learn or do you feel like you are lost in space and trying to find a way back to reality. So like I said before, there are many mixed emotions about this type of learning. I would like for you to write an essay on this topic. Make sure your essay is 1 whole page.

Your essay will be due May 8th before the end of the day.

Virtual Field Trip

I want you to go on a Virtual Field Trip to any place of your choice. You can Google Virtual field trips and look at the sites to choose from.

For example: You take virtual trip to the San Diego Zoo or The Smithsonian Museum.

Choose something that fascinates you and take a trip. While you are on this trip, take notes of the things you see and write the down.

You can also take a virtual trip to Disney World and experience some of the rides. At the end of your trip, I would like for you to write about your experiences. Tell me what you did and the sites you seen while you were on your trip.

My Favorite Thing In MS Success

I just want to take an opportunity and say that I have enjoyed having each of you in MS Success class this year. For your assignment I would like for you to think back on all the fun things we learned and things we did in class. Tell me what you enjoyed the most and describe to me why you chose that topic. Remember back when we were Archaeologist digging up clues, many of you were cup challenge hero's and even bird house builders, some of you got to be teachers for the day. There's many different things we achieved throughout the year but for the last week of school, I would like for you to share the most enjoyable time in class.

You guys have been great and I have truly enjoyed all of you in my class.
