Walt and Ellen Moore own and operate Walmoore Holsteins in Cochranville, Pennsylvania along with the young stock manager, Caitlyn Degner. On their farm, they care for 1,040 milking cows at two different facilities. Established in 1909, the farm started small but continued to grow to when they incorporated the business in 1992 to Walmoore Holsteins.
Farmer Caitlyn manages the calves on the farm. Last year, Farmer Caitlyn was an intern on Walmoore's farm through a summer internship program but quickly became a farm favorite and was asked to stay as the calf manager permanently. For the next 6 months, we will connect with Farmer Caitlyn, to learn about your adopted calf and the farm she lives on. Farmer Caitlyn loves working with the calves!
This is a photo of the entire Walmoore Holsteins farm. The rolling hills of Pennsylvania have been home for Moore family for more than 100 years.
