The book for this course is Exploring Geology, 5th Edition, by Reynolds and others, McGraw-Hill Publisher. The textbook will be used in conjunction with Connect (the publisher's website). You can access a digital version of the book in Connect. Your enrollment in this course gives you instant access to Connect, but the first time you use Connect you will need to set up a username and password, which you will use throughout the session.

You can request a loose leaf (three-hole punched) printed copy of the textbook from the publisher (for a small fee) that you can put into your won three-ring binder. This printed copy is completely optional. It takes about one week to be shipped to your address.

Always give yourself enough time to resolve technical issues that may arise. Work ahead of time so you can trouble-shoot any problems, get your questions answered and double check your submissions.
