Are you open?

We are indefinitely closed in-person, but we are available online to assist and help with any questions or concerns you have. Please see the question below for ways to get connected with us.

Our Summer online hours are:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8AM-7PM

When you will be open?

It is unknown when the campus will re-open for students and faculty, this includes the Computer Lab.

I need help resetting password/finding my MEID...

You are able to do all of the above through: https://my.maricopa.edu/help/student-passwords-meids. Here you can find or reactivate your MEID, and reset or change your password. Just fill out the respective boxes with your information to proceed.

Where can I find technological resources such as laptops, software, etc.?

Please visit: https://www.maricopa.edu/community-business/basic-needs/technology-software for more info about internet service, technology/software resources, and other info. This page is updated on a regular basis, so please check periodically for more info.

For specialized software, it will depend on your class. (i.e. if you are taking a Photoshop class, you will have access to the Photoshop software). Please talk to your instructor regarding what software you need.

For those taking Networking, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Hardware, or other related classes, please visit https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/free-account-students-faq/ for free software that is available to you.


Where can I go to download Microsoft Office 365?

Please visit the following link for steps on how to download Microsoft Office 365, which is available for PC, Mac, and mobile devices (up to eight devices).

Troubleshooting steps are provided should problems arise. A guide on how to download is also available in our Quick Reference Guides, under "How To Download Microsoft Office 365." If you have any further issues, please contact us and we will help get you set up.

Please note that Microsoft Access is not available for Macs. It is recommended to talk to your instructor if you are unable to acquire and download Access. One solution for this is to follow the steps on how to get Windows onto your Mac (also known as dual-booting): https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468

I am unable to print at home. Is there something I can use to get physical copies of something?

There are a couple of options available to you:

  • Businesses such as FedEx, UPS, and Staples each have a printing service. Orders can be made online and picked up in store. Be sure to check store hours before making or completing an order

  • Please fill out this form to send an order to the Copy Center. You will have a couple of options in how you would like to receive them:

      • Curbside pickup

      • Shipping/mail (will cost extra for postage)

Your monthly $10 allowance remains in effect, and you will be contacted by Student Business Services for payment.

I would like to take a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification test. How do I schedule an exam?

Due to the indefinite closure of the lab and campus, we are currently not proctoring exams on-site. Exams will be done online through the exam publisher, Pearson. To get scheduled, please email us at computerlab@cgc.edu, and we will get in contact with you as soon as possible.

We will need the following information from you:

✓ Your name, affiliated organization, title (e.g. student or community user), email, and phone number.

  • If you are a student, we will also need your instructor's name and the class you took (BPC110, CIS114, etc.)

✓ Specific exams to be taken (e.g. Word 2019, Word Expert 2019, PowerPoint 2019, Excel 2019, Excel Expert 2019, Access Expert 2019, etc.).

  • Please keep in mind that the Expert exams are much more comprehensive. Always take a look over the Objectives of each exam before making a selection.

✓ Preferred dates and times (specify your time zone) for each of your sessions requested. Please list a preferred, 2nd, and 3rd choice.
