The Cuyahoga Falls City School District is proud to announce that the main band room at the new Cuyahoga Falls 6–12 Campus will be named the Robert H. Feldbush Band Room, in honor of one of the district’s former music educators.
The naming rights were generously sponsored by Mark Riley, a 1970 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, who wanted to honor the profound legacy of his former band director.
Bob Feldbush began his teaching career in the Cuyahoga Falls City School District in 1959 and quickly became a cornerstone of the district’s music program. In 1960, he was named head band director of the marching band and also led the Gold Tones Jazz Orchestra, the Black Concert Band, and the orchestra for the school’s musical productions. Feldbush expanded music education in the district by establishing academic courses such as music theory, arranging, and composition, offering students a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of their craft. He retired from the district in 1985 after 26 years of inspiring and shaping the lives of thousands of students.
Feldbush’s impact extended far beyond the classroom and concert stage. In 1969, he founded the Cuyahoga Falls Alumni Band, a tradition that continues to thrive today. He remained its dedicated director until 2004, fostering decades of connection between generations of Black Tiger musicians. His influence remains woven into the fabric of the community and the culture of music education in Cuyahoga Falls.
“Dedicating this space in Mr. Feldbush’s name is a meaningful tribute to a man whose legacy continues to resonate through generations of Black Tiger musicians," said Superintendent Dr. Andrea Celico. "His passion for music and commitment to students shaped the culture of our district in lasting ways. This band room will stand as a lasting reminder of his extraordinary impact.”
The Robert H. Feldbush Band Room will open with the completion of the new 6–12 Campus in January 2026.
The Cuyahoga Falls City School District is proud to announce that the new stadium at the Cuyahoga Falls 6–12 campus will be named Lambert Stadium, thanks to a sponsorship with Lambert Buick GMC.
The naming rights agreement reflects a continued commitment to strengthening local partnerships while reinvesting in the future of our students.
“We are thrilled to partner with Lambert Buick GMC, a trusted local business that has served Northeast Ohio for more than 51 years,” said Superintendent Dr. Andrea Celico. “This collaboration supports our mission to provide high-quality facilities and experiences for our students while celebrating the strength of our community.”
Proceeds from this sponsorship will be reinvested into the facilities and used to support academic and extracurricular programs.
