Mr. Vega is a passionate music educator dedicated to helping students grow through meaningful musical experiences. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Arizona, where he studied percussion under Dr. Norman Weinberg and Dr. Morris Palter. During his time there, he performed in various ensembles and marched snare drum with the Pride of Arizona Marching Band.
He began his teaching career directing middle school concert and jazz bands in Rio Rico and his hometown of San Luis, AZ. While leading the Gadsden Elementary School District Marching Band, his students performed at events such as the Hollywood Christmas Parade, Disneyland, and parades across Arizona. Mr. Vega also worked briefly at the corporate level for The Guitar Center Company, supporting lesson programs and music education outreach nationwide.
Mr. Vega strongly believes in the power of music education to transform lives. He views music as a tool for building discipline, creativity, and community, and strives to create a learning environment where all students can thrive.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Vega is an active composer. He has written scores for award-winning independent films, with works featured on platforms like Prime Video and Tubi, and recorded by ensembles such as the Budapest Scoring Orchestra and Grupo Arizona.
