Cedar Falls Education Association Scholarship

Application Instructions

The Cedar Falls Education Association proudly awards a one-time $1,000 scholarship to a Cedar Falls High School senior who plans to pursue a degree in education/teaching.

Please submit the following materials by 3:00 P.M. on April 1, 2026.

1. The completed application form. Click here to preview the form to prepare your responses.  

2. A one-page essay stating your reasons for wishing to become a teacher. Name the file "essay-[lastname]". Please submit this essay in one of the following ways:

a. Send a Word document to cfea@cfschools.org

b. Share with cfea@cfschools.org via Google Docs. Make sure you have enabled "editing" permissions so the essay can be shared with the scholarship committee members.

3. Three letters of reference 

a. A sample form can be found here.

b. These letters must be sent by the reference writer by email to cfea@cfschools.org
