As clinicians, we all struggle with how to help our clients get the most benefit from therapy they possibly can.
By increasing your ability to focus on the complexity of your clients, you will be better able to help them, both to face who they are and to use therapy to get the most from their lives.
As clinicians, we also struggle with the relationship between our clients and ourselves. Our clients regularly recreate their difficulties in their relationships with us.
By learning how to better understand and handle your relationship with your clients, you will be more successful in helping them.
As clinicians, we struggle with how to enjoy the profession we have chosen.
By focusing on finding out how you can use your natural skills to become a better therapist you can get more pleasure from your work.
The Center for Psychoanalytic Studies provides advanced training in understanding the complexities of our clients’ motivation and how that complexity keeps them from achieving a successful life. We also provide specific training in the management and use of transference. Our training provides a way of looking at clinical work that is relevant no matter the setting or the theoretical approach.
