All About Me

Hi! My name is Traci Melly and I am the librarian at Yeager Elementary School. I have been in education for 24 years. I started out teaching middle school math after getting my Bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. I taught math a total of 11 years, nine of which were at Bleyl Middle School. Since getting my Masters in Library Science from Sam Houston State University, I have been both a high school librarian in California and an elementary librarian in Texas for the past 13 years. I am so excited to be at Yeager Elementary and to be adding maker space activities this year.

I am married to a wonderful man that served in the USAF for 20 years. We have two beautiful children that will be in 2nd grade and PK at Yeager this year. When I am not at school, I enjoy playing board games, going to the movies, walking and water aerobics for exercise and reading a good book of course.
