Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band is comprised of 7th and 8th grade students that play at an intermediate level. The students in this band participate in all concerts and UIL events, as well as, solo contest in the spring. As a result, members are required to maintain passing grades in all of their classes in order to participate in all activities. Students are highly encouraged to participate in private lessons to help them grow as musicians which is critical to the success of the program.
Members of this ensemble are required to attend weekly section rehearsals, called sectionals, before or after school. Since rehearsals during the day include all students in the Symphonic Band it is crucial that students attend all of their sectionals. Sectionals are the only time that students can receive 100% section-specific instruction.
