Redo/Retake Guidelines

The district shall permit a student who meets the criteria in the grading guidelines a reasonable opportunity to redo an assignment or retake a test for which the student received a failing grade.

The following criteria should guide redo/retake practices.

-A student may have three opportunities each nine weeks to redo assignments for which the student earned a 69 on below on.

-The highest grade a student can earn on a "redo or retake" assignment is a 70. The student will not earn a lower grade than the original grade.

-Prior to retesting/redoing, an intervention (tutoring or reteaching by the teacher) should be completed.

-DPM's or Benchmark Tests are not included in the retest/redo opportunities.

A request to redo an assignment must be submitted to the teacher no later than 7 days after assignment is passed back or entered into the online grade book.
