World Geography

It is a non-negotiable class expectation that every student have a spiral notebook in class, every day. We will use these notebooks daily for the entire year. If parents are ever curious about how their student is doing, take a look at their notebook!

I update my gradebook at the beginning of each six weeks with most assignments that will be taken for a grade. You can get a great idea of what to expect for the upcoming six week by checking there.

The first semester of Geography will be structured thematically- we will learn about physical processes, the environment, political and economic systems, and regions. The second semester, we will focus on each specific region and apply the knowledge and skills to gain a deep understanding of world cultures.

This year, I am challenging each of my students to think about sustainability. As we progress throughout the year, I want everyone to think about the impact we have on the world and how each of us can lessen our "footprint" and leave the world a better place for future generations!
