Sarah Lacey - 8th Grade, Lead Counselor


My name is Sarah Lacey and I am the 8th grade counselor. I am in my 14th year in education and 8th year as a school counselor at Salyards Middle School. I went to Oklahoma State University , then moved to Texas and taught at Cy-Springs High School for 6 years as a Junior and Freshman English teacher. I decided to go back to graduate school for school counseling and attended Houston Baptist University while working at Cy-Springs. Once I graduated with my masters, I transitioned to Salyards Middle School as a counselor. I am excited for a new year with our Salyards Bengals!

Heather Ferguson - 7th Grade Counselor


My name is Heather Ferguson and I am the 7th grade counselor for the 2020-2021 school year. I have spent the last thirteen years working in Cy-Fair ISD. My time in the district has been spent as a classroom teacher, a math interventionist, and an Instructional Specialist. I received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University. I’m excited to begin my fifth year as a school counselor at Salyards Middle School. Seventh grade is an exciting time for our students, and I am excited to work with each of them.

Charlotte Miller - 6th Grade Counselor


My name is Charlotte Miller and I am the 6th grade counselor for the 2021-2022 school year. This is my 29th year in education and 14th year as a school counselor. I started my career in education teaching at a middle school in Katy ISD. I then moved to teach at Ault Elementary and have been with CFISD for 25 years. I have been a school counselor at Danish Elementary, Keith Elementary and, most recently, Wells Elementary. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and have my Master’s degree from Prairie View A&M in School Counseling. I am very excited to be at Salyards this year. This is going to be a great year!
