Coach Maier has been involved in volleyball since she was in third grade. She’s played all her life, coached and officiated at the high school and club level for 8 plus years. She’s always loved the sport and enjoys coaching as it gives her a new way to connect with student athletes. Of Volleyball, she says “It’s not all about the sport, but watching the girls grow skillfully, physically, and mentally. I love how it forces the girls to work at a team level”. Coach Maier is entering into her 10th year of teaching—she teaches World Geography and AP Human Geography, both of which she loves. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, cooking, hanging out with friends/family, completing home projects, and traveling.
Coach Skyla Childs has been passionate about volleyball since she began playing at the age of eight. A former player for Houston Skyline Juniors and Cy-Ridge High School, she continued her athletic career at the collegiate level, competing for Prairie View A&M University. With years of experience on the court, Coach Childs has spent two years coaching club volleyball and served as a graduate assistant coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Her love for the game is matched by her commitment to developing and mentoring young athletes. In addition to her coaching background, Coach Childs brings experience from the classroom. She spent the past year as an elementary special education teacher and will be serving as an in-class support educator in the upcoming school year. Known for her dedication, positivity, and strong work ethic, Coach Childs is passionate about both athletics and education. Outside of her professional roles, she enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Coach Rodriguez has been an athlete for most of her life. She’s played volleyball and basketball all throughout middle school and high school. This will be her 4th year coaching at the high school level. She has also coached at the club level for the past two years. Coach Rodriguez loves to help athletes develop a sense of pride and determination. She values athletes who work hard for the benefit of the team. Her favorite part of coaching is being able to witness the growth of the athletes over the years. She is going on her 7th year of teaching. She is currently teaching World History and African American Studies.

Coach Felder has great passion for educating and coaching others. She has been inspiring and impacting others for many years beginning with her service in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Once leaving the Navy, she obtained her BS degree in Business Management and a Masters in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Her love for volleyball and track began in middle school and continued through to her high school years. She enjoyed both sports so much she began coaching them in 2008 in Aldine ISD. She is determined and committed to influencing students to become a strong leader in the classroom and community, through coaching with purpose and intention
