About Mrs. Z

Hello, my name is Mrs. Kathryn Zepeda and I have been one type of teacher or another for a good portion of my life. It all started in 2nd grade when I was one of a few selected to go and help the kindergartners read. From there I went on to being a junior swim instructor. I was even a music teacher for 10 years after graduating high school. I took a little break from teaching to be an Electrical Engineer for NAVSEA. Although being an electrical engineer was an exciting time for me, I found that nothing brings more joy to my heart than sparking the desire to learn in others. This lead me back to teaching and thus, to becoming a Math teacher.

I have been a Math teacher for 11 years and I am excited to start my fourth year here at Bridgeland High School. During the first 5 years I enjoyed teaching everything from Algebra I to Calculus. The past six years I have had the pleasure of teaching Algebra I. This year I am looking forward to meeting and working with all my new Advanced Algebra and College Algebra students!

Although I love being a teacher, I love being a mother and a wife too!

My husband and I have been married for 23 years. We have two amazing children, and two loving dogs.
