About Mrs. Dersch

I have been an educator since 1990 and taught a variety of courses including AP US History, US History, World History, Senior Seminar, Government, Economics, Global Issues, Model United Nations, Psychology, Geography, World Religions, the History of the Catholic Church, International Relations, Film Studies, English 9, and World Literature. I have had the good fortune to have taught at Garces Memorial High School in Bakersfield, CA, the American School of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, the American School of Doha in Qatar, and Dhahran High School in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. I am looking forward to my eighth year at Cypress Ranch High School. I earned my bachelor of science degree in social sciences at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. In addition to holding California and Texas teaching credentials, I am a National Board Certified Teacher.

My husband and I have been enjoying all that the Houston area has to offer, the beauty of Cypress, and the pride and hospitality of Texans! It’s a great year to be a Mustang!
