First Nine Weeks we will learn place value from the hundred billions all the way down to the thousandths place. We will explore relationships and describe them with equations. We will investigate the addition and subtraction of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.

In the second nine weeks fifth graders will focus on multiplication and division problems with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.

The third nine weeks brings us measurement, coordinate graphing, geometry, and data analysis.

We end the year with review of difficult concepts and a fun unit on financial literacy.
