About Me

My name is Doris Tatum. I am a wife and mother of four girls. I enjoy spending time with my husband and girls. We like reading books, playing games, and watching movies.

I was born and raised in Washington, DC. I attended DC Public Schools and I graduated from the School Without Walls. Once I graduated from High school, I went to Hampton University as a Graphic Design major. I moved back home and graduated from Howard University in 1996. I also attended Queens University in North Carolina. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in 2006.

I've been teaching since March 2000. I started as a middle school art teacher. I've taught art in elementary and middle school. I've also taught Kindergarten through Fifth grade as a regular education teacher.

My goal is to continuously improve my skills so that I can do my best to serve your child. I am available as your partner in your child's education. Your child is special to me and I depend on your input so that I may give them the tools that they need for success.

I'm excited about being here at Aragon Middle School. I love my students and enjoy teaching them each day. Let's have a great year!

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
