About Me
Hello,
My name is Kisa Fields and I am a 3rd grade reading, writing and social studies teacher at Wells Elementary. I have a Master’s degree in Education, specifically K-8 Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance. This is my eighth year teaching at Wells and during those 8 years I have received my GT and ESL certification, served as a team leader over 3rd and 5th grade, and was honored with the Lifelong Learner of the Year award in 2020/21.
Prior to teaching, I was a business development manager for a large education management organization and opened schools all over the nation. I have served as a ShopTalk Presenter for the Wisconsin Humanities Council, obtained scholarships for primary grade students as vice president of the non-profit Benevolent Missions of Atlanta, served as a mentor for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, and beautified schools volunteering as a project coordinator for Hands on Atlanta.
I am originally from Kingston, Jamaica and moved to America at the age of 15. I have two amazing daughters, Kyra – 12 and Kayden – 10 who both attend Sprague and Wells respectively.
