Architectural Design II

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Students will gain advanced knowledge and skills needed to enter a career in architecture or construction or prepare a foundation toward a postsecondary degree in architecture, construction science, drafting, interior design, or landscape architecture. Architectural Design II includes the advanced knowledge of the design, design history, techniques, and tools related to the production of drawings, renderings, and scaled models for nonresidential or residential architectural purposes. (2 Credits)

Students are eligible to apply for PLA (Prior Learning Assessment) credit through Lone star college to earn credits toward an associate degree in Architectural design.

Important note: A fee of $40 is required for this course.

GRADING:

40% - Summative Assessments: semester tests, certification exam, major projects

40% - Relevant Applications: unit tests, minor projects, project checkpoints, sketchbook

20% - Checking for Understanding: daily participation, quizzes
