A community is not always large. Some are small and are typically brought together by relationships. In Becoming by Michelle Obama, Michelle shares that when she was a child, her family lived in the same house with her aunt. Her aunt lived downstairs while Michelle, her parents, and older brother lives upstairs. Also, her grandmother and other relatives lived within walking distance of each other. They visited each other regularly. The relationships among them formed a strong community.
