Homework Assignments

Reading: Practice reading at home. No reading log required.

Language: Study spelling words AND spelling rule for the week.

Social Studies: None

Science: No weekly homework. Students will need to study for DPMs.

Math: Practice + and - math facts. See web resources for websites that will help. Later in the year students will need to practice multiplication facts. Students may also need to study for DPMs.

Corrected Work/Reteach/Redo Policy

A student may have three opportunities each nine weeks to redo assignments/major grades for which the student earned a grade of 69 or below. The highest grade a student can earn on the retake is a 70. If a child makes a grade lower than a 70 on the redo, the higher of the two grades will be recorded. Prior to retesting/redoing, an intervening action plan has taken place - re-teaching; tutorials before, during, or after school; study guide taken home; etc. The assignment must be redone within one week of the posted grade and requested by the parent. Students will not be allowed to redo DPMs - District Progress Monitoring Assessments.
