All About Me

I am so excited to be a 3rd grade Reading teacher at Gleason! I started my career in education at Francone Elementary in 2004. I've taught Reading & Language Arts in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.

I am a product of Cy-Fair, having attended Owens Elementary, Truitt Jr. High and finally graduating from Cy-Falls High School in 1997. I attended college at Indiana University on a golf scholarship. Go Hoosiers! Although I love to play golf, I decided to focus my attention on academics. I received my bachelors degree in Business and Telecommunications in 2001. I lived in Indiana after graduating where I met my husband. We moved back to Houston in December 2004 to get married, and we have been enjoying the warmer weather ever since. I enjoy spending time with my husband, watching football (Go Colts), and playing with our two very spoiled dogs, Ivan and Pepisita.

I love teaching reading, and my goal this year is to inspire my students to be life-long learners and readers. It is going to be a great year!
