Event Coordinators:
Electronic copies are REQUIRED for this contest. NO TEAM will be allowed to compete unless an electronic copy of the event(s) they are running are sent to the contest director NO LATER than two days prior to the contest. Each coordinator is also REQUIRED to submit an Event Coordinator Agreement and Checklist.
Please make sufficient copies of your tests/score sheets/answer sheets for all teams (45 for Division C and 35 for Division B). You will be required to submit a hard copy of your test and answer sheet or score sheet and/or answer key at registration. You will also be required to sign off that you created an original test. Administering a test that has already been given previously and is posted on line is a violation of the requirements of this contest. Some test questions from previous years are allowed, however, administering an entire copy of a previously written test is not allowed. Coordinators who give such tests will jeopardize their teams from future contest entry. Graders should be adults, not students, to ensure the grading is done properly and there are no biases.
Should you have special needs for your event, please contact me and we will see what we can do to assist.
Event Clarifications:
All events should be utilizing the Regional requirements given in the event rules.
Event Coordinators, please familiarize yourself with the event clarifications posted on the national site. (In past contests, our team has been at a disadvantage as the coordinator was unfamiliar with a clarification. Let’s prevent this from happening to other teams.) If you are unsure of how a rules is stated or what the intent is behind the way it is written, please submit a clarification question and a national coordinator will respond. Here is the link to the clarifications:

Room Usage:
Some events are using multiple rooms given the furniture available in each room. Please familiarize yourself with the schedule and make sure that you and your team are here bright and early that morning. In order for things to flow smoothly throughout the day, it is vital that coordinators for impound events arrive early and be ready to impound in their assigned room at 6:30 am. I have also included a break in the schedule for those event coordinators. All rooms have new furniture and lab rooms include longer skinny lab tables that are much taller than those we had previously. They are, however, movable and no longer secured to the floor.
Please take a look at the room schedule so that you are familiar with the time constraints throughout the day. We are using many rooms (especially lab rooms) multiple times throughout the day. That being the case, all grading rooms are located in the east wing.
Coaches:
Please make sure to put your liability forms for each student in the order they appear on your final registration sheet to expedite check in. Please plan ahead in order to make registration run smoothly and as quick as possible. Please make sure all of your team members’ individual forms are in order of your final registration form. Each team needs the following forms:
ü Final Team Registration (one per team)
ü Policy Form (one per team)
ü Assumption of Risk (one per team member)
All forms can be found on the link below:

If you have not yet joined the Remind, please do so and/or pass on the info to any new coaches (it is cleared each year so you will need to re-join):
Division B: Text @cfsodivb to 81010
Division C: Text @cfsodivc to 81010
Payments received are updated regularly. Should your payment not be processed prior to the date of the contest, you will be expected to bring payment to registration in order for your team to be eligible to compete.
All teams are required to register with the State prior to competing. We will be updating our records regularly to reflect what is shown on the state web site.
Our school has gone through major renovations and all classrooms have new furniture. Please instruct your teams to treat each room with respect. Along the same lines, no team is allowed on the 2nd floor of the school at ANY time. Any team found on the 2nd floor and/or vandalizing or abusing equipment or new furniture will be disqualified.
Trial events:
Any of the original 15 team members or alternate may compete in the trial events offered. Alternates ARE allowed to participate in the trial events. They are eligible to medal, however, these events will not count towards sweepstakes. We are offering up to 4th place overall for individual medals and sweepstakes. We are not implementing a dropped events policy. All national events will count towards sweepstakes.
Homebase:
Please consult our Commons Map for where your team will be housed during the contest.
