How to Send Scores to a College

Most colleges want your test scores to arrive from the testing company. The easiest way to send your ACT/SAT scores to a college is to choose the colleges you would like to send your score to when you are registering for either test - plus it's free when you send the scores before you take the test!

If you did not choose to have your scores sent to colleges when you registered for either test, you will have to contact the testing companies and request that the scores are sent. There may be a fee associated with this process.

TSI Testing Information

The TSI test is a test you must meet minimum standards on in order to enroll in college credit classes. Think of it like a test to prove that you are ready to start taking college-level courses. If you are attending a public college or university in TEXAS (including Lone Star College), you must take the TSI before signing up for college classes.

Could I be Exempt from the TSI?

Yes! There are several ways you could be exempt from taking the TSI.

1. Your SAT scores:

Reading/Writing Score

• 480 Evidenced-Based Reading & Writing (EBRW)

• (No composite required)

Math Score

• 530 Math

• (No composite required)

2. Your ACT scores:

Reading/Writing Score

• 23 composite with 19 English

Math Score

• 23 composite with 19 Math

I am going to college in Texas this fall. Can I take the TSI at Lone Star Cy-Fair?

Yes! If your college needs TSI scores, you can take the test at Lone Star Cy-Fair, and have those scores sent to your college. You will need to schedule an appointment to take the test(s) you need.
