I was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. I earned my bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University and later went on to earn a Master's Degree in education from Lamar University. My career began in a small district named Coldspring-Oakhurst Consolidated ISD. I then went on to Needville ISD. I taught U.S. History and coached both baseball and football. After three years in Needville I moved to Fort Bend ISD where I served at William B. Travis High School for five years. During my time at Travis I taught World Geography, World History, and U.S. History. I also coached Varsity outside linebackers and served as the Varsity assistant baseball coach.
In my spare time I love to stay active. I am a huge Texas Rangers baseball fan, and an overly committed fan of Florida State football. In addition to sports I like to work out, be outdoors, and go exploring new areas. I love being in nature, learning about and experiencing new cultures, and I am always seeking out and learning new things. This is why I love teaching history and World Geography, and it is why you're going to love learning about it!
My faith and my family are the most important things to me. My brilliant and beautiful wife is a dual credit history teacher at Fulshear High School. My son, Maddox, was born in 2011 and is a student at Wells Elementary. He's a funny, energetic, talkative, and smart little boy. I reference both of them in class all the time!
I am excited to be at Bridgeland High School and Cy-Fair ISD. I am looking forward to getting to know more about each and every student and they will definitely get to know more about me. This is going to be a great school year!
