Not all instances of group work result in collaboration, and this session will get you thinking about how to get students to do more than work together. The highest level of collaboration exists when students share ideas, sift through and edit these ideas to create a plan of action, and then create a product which incorporates the input of all students in a given group. This session will identify the levels of collaboration, present ideas on how to design activities to include collaboration, show how technology can be used to support collaboration, and provide suggestions on how to build collaboration skills within your students.
