Texas State Technical College

Texas State Technical College trains workers to meet the needs of a high-tech global economy. Students attend classes on one of 10 campuses, including the closest location to CFISD in Fort Bend. They earn certificates or associate's degrees in programs ranging in duration from a few weeks to two years. The most popular of their more than 50 programs include welding, and diesel equipment technology, but they also offer unique options such as aircraft pilot training technology, culinary arts, and chemical dependency counseling.

While the Fort Bend campus does not have student housing, there are three TSTC campuses, including Waco, which can provide for the dorm life and meal plan experience. TSTC also offers more than a dozen of their programs entirely online.
