Hello, Cougars!
My name is Amber Stephens, and I have been the Cypress Creek High School College & Career Specialist, or CCS, since the fall of 2013. My primary role in this position is in working with small and large groups of students and parents to better prepare them for the college research, application, and funding processes.
Here at Cypress Creek High School, I work with classes, teams, students, teachers, and parents to help promote a college-going culture. I frequently meet with groups of students during the school day to improve college awareness. In the evenings, I host parent information sessions. I also welcome college admissions representatives to visit Cypress Creek to provide an opportunity for our students to interact with the higher education professionals who manage the admission process.
My husband, Jud Stephens, teaches math for special education and coaches basketball at Cypress Creek. We enjoy working on the same campus, as it gives us a chance to work with the same students and often get to know them quite well. We enjoy keeping in touch with graduates to learn about their success after high school.
