Students must disable all Bluetooth & A.I. capabilities and access. In addition, all personal electronic devices must be powered off and placed in student's backpack. Personal electronics include but are not limited to cell phones, Smart watches, earbuds, etc. Students retrieve their backpacks and said items upon dismissal for lunch.
Revised Bell Schedule: We will follow a revised bell schedule for each STAAR EOC test. Seniors with Early & Double Early Release should notify employers.
Report Chromebook Issues: Students login to ClassLink & click LTE Central icon. Indicate if incident is new or existing. Follow prompts & answer questions. Return to LTE Central to check messages related to reported issue/s.
Snacks, Water: Students may bring a snack & water. Items are placed under their desk & accessed as needed.
Testing Rooms: Students need to be in their assigned seats by 7:15 am. Testing Room information is located in the English hallway, the atrium and outside the commons.
Attendance: Know where to go. Attendance still counts on test days. Students will be marked as 'Testing' when present and taking an EOC. Non-testers will follow their regular schedule, be on time to class and ready to work.
Test days are different. Prepare and know where to go. Thank you for your commitment, because it takes all of us. Go Bears!
STAAR EOC Tests & Dates
On EOC Test Days, we will follow a revised bell schedule
Due to the nature of STAAR/EOC we must maintain a secure and optimum testing environment throughout the testing day. Bear with us on these days as they run a little differently.
Visitors and deliveries will resume after tests are complete. *Students testing will need to be in attendance the entire testing window. Thank you for honoring the STAAR/EOC process. It takes a community, and we truly appreciate your support.
HB 3261 & 3906
Fall 2022: House Bill 3261, enacted by the 87th Texas Legislature in 2021, requires state assessments (STAAR/EOC) to be administered online by the 2022–2023 school year.
Spring 2023: House Bill 3906 established a “multiple choice cap,” meaning that no more than 75% of points on a STAAR test can be based on multiple choice questions. Texas educators are helping design new question types that reflect classroom test questions and allow students more ways to show their understanding. All possible new question types are being field-tested with students to ensure validity before they are incorporated into the redesigned summative tests beginning in spring 2023.
