Hi! My name is Amy Brewer and I have been teaching math for 20 years (17 at Cy-Fair HS). Prior to teaching, I worked for over 10 years in the IT industry, training and setting up professional computer systems in Automobile Dealerships all over the world. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from The University of Texas and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin University and have completed 18 hours of Graduate Level Mathematics at University of Houston. I am married to a great guy and have two fantastic kids, both of whom are CFHS Graduates. Madison is a senior at The University of Pittsburgh studying Astronomy and Non-Fiction Writing and Jacob is a Sophomore and at Louisiana State University studying Vocal Music Education. BFND!
I am excited to continue teaching Statistics (both AP and Dual Credit) this year because it really is one of the most interesting and relevant math class being taught in high school. I am also super pleased to be going back to teaching Pre-Calculus, Dual Credit sections.
I am expecting an outstanding year for students in all courses!
