Welcome Sabercats and Parents!

This is my fifth year here at Smith Middle School as a 7th grade Language Arts teacher! I am a Houston native. I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2011 where I earned my degree in English Literature. My husband and I have a smart and spunky 5 year old kindergartener, an almost 3 year old son, and an 8 month old puppy named Roux. Aside from teaching, I am also a very skilled graphic designer and enjoy using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator in my free time. Reading is something I try to find time for everyday and I typically finish an average of 2-3 books a week (depending on the week, of course). Young Adult Literature is my genre of choice so if your teenager has read it, I probably have too! Please feel free to get in touch if you'd like to chat or if you have any particular questions.
