About Ms. Cantwell

Howdy! My name is Amanda Cantwell and the 2020-2021 school year will be my 11th year in education. I grew up in and graduated from CFISD schools, and I am happy to be back in the classroom in the best district in the state.

After graduating from Cypress Creek in 2002, I went to Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology. From there, I went to work for a biotech company in the Woodlands, TX before returning to Texas A&M to earn a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

Outside of the classroom, you will probably find me with my 8 year old daughter, Abigail. We love to spend time with our family and friends, and always look forward to a new adventure. We enjoy attending Mustang sporting events, learning about animals, reading stories, building with LEGOs, and growing our own vegetables. I also enjoy crafting, cooking, reading, and even gaming.

As an educator, I feel that it is my duty to help students achieve in all aspects of life, even if they do not see their own abilities. It is my goal to work with students and parents to ensure that this goal becomes reality.

If there is anything that I can do to help in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to a fantastic year at Cypress Ranch High School. Lets. Go. 'Stangs!
