Neil Haag is currently in his sixth year as Band Director of Vivian Field Middle School. Prior to working at VFMS, he was a member of the Newman Smith High School Trojan Band in CFB, and led the bands at Mildred ISD. The ensembles under Mr. Haag's direction have consistently earned Superior ratings at UIL Concert, Sightreading, and Marching contests. Mr. Haag studied Music Education at the University of Texas at Arlington with an emphasis in clarinet.
When he's not teaching band, Mr. Haag enjoys running, reading, painting, board games, and cooking with family. He lives with his wife and three kids in the north DFW area.
Mr. Haag teaches the beginner flute, clarinet, and saxophone, euphonium, and tuba classes, and conducts the Honors Band.
Diane LeCount is beginning her third year teaching at Vivian Field Middle School. She is a proud alumna of CFB schools, having attended Kent Elementary, Blalack Middle School, and Creekview High School for all her schooling.
Following her love for sports and band, she marched with the Denver-based Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps in the summers of 2015 to 2017, performing as a trumpet her first year and drum major her last two years. While marching with Drum Corps International, Mrs. LeCount earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education with a concentration in trumpet from the University of North Texas. After earning her degree, she spent her first four years teaching as an Assistant Band Director at Southwest Legacy High School in the San Antonio area.
When she's not teaching band, Mrs. LeCount enjoys cooking with her husband, playing with their dog, Goldie, hiking, singing, and playing Legend of Zelda games on her Switch.
Mrs. LeCount teaches the beginner trumpet, horn and trombone classes, and conducts the Symphonic Band.
Josh Dominguez is currently in his ninth year as the Director of Percussion at RL Turner High School, Vivian Field Middle School, and DeWitt Perry Middle school. Prior to being at RL Turner, he served as an Assistant Band Director and Director of Percussion at Lubbock High School in Lubbock, TX.
Prior to teaching in Lubbock, Mr. Dominguez taught as a private lesson teacher and battery instructor at Marcus High School and Byron Nelson High School. He is a yearly member of the UNT Marching Percussion Camp staff. Mr. Dominguez received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas.
As a performer, Mr. Dominguez marched snare drum for the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps in 2012 and 2013.
Mr. Dominguez lives in Carrollton with his new baby and wife, Kaleen, who teaches music in Frisco. He teaches the beginner percussion class as well as assisting with percussion in the advanced band classes.
