Magic School is a great resource for A LOT of things, and one of those is creating rubrics! This is a great place to start if you don't know what to put into your rubrics.
Plug in your grade level, standard, assignment title, a description of your assignment, and your point scale to have it generate a rubric.
*Click "See an Exemplar" to see an example.

Check for Bias and Accuracy
-AI might occasionally produce biased or incorrect content. Always double-check before sharing with students or families.
The 80-20 Approach
-Use AI for the initial 80% of the work, but make sure to add your final touch, review for bias and accuracy, and contextualize appropriately for the last 20%.
Your Judgement Matters
-Treat AI-generated content as a starting point, not a final solution. Always adhere to your school's guidelines and your professional judgement.
Know the Limits
-The AI's knowledge may have hidden bias and only covers events up to 2021, so be aware of limits when dealing with more recent topics.
Protect Privacy
-Don't include personal student details like names or addresses. Note that we strive to promptly remove any accidentally submitted information.
Use these Automated Rubrics to make scoring a breeze and cut down on your grading time! The great thing about these is that once you customize them with your student names you'll be able to use it again and again by duplicating the file!
Type in student names, mark off the checklist, and a final score calculates on the right.
4x4 Rubric and 5x4 Rubric

The Template sheet will automatically update all student sheets with any changes you make to descriptors and headers.
All student scores will automatically populate on the Gradebook sheet.
