Daily Lesson Plans are essential as they:
help ensure lessons are organized and cover all essential TEKS
help maintain the pace of the class
help teachers assess student learning
Google Slides are a great and easy way to lay out your daily lesson plans. Each slide can represent every part of the lesson. Within the Slides, you can include videos, images, timers, GIFs, animation, and much more.
As you view the template provided, make note on how each part of the lesson cycle is included and explained so students and parents can understand what was done in the day. Further, the template has an "Agenda" slide that can be displayed in class or in Canvas/Google Classroom laying out the activities of the day.
Canva is a creative and aesthetic way to lay out your daily lesson plans. Canva has the option to curate a presentation. Within the presentation, you can add elements, themes, GIFs, photos, videos, and much more (need help navigating Canva? Reach out to your DLS! 😊).
As you view the template provided, make note that this daily lesson plan is very similar to the way that the Google Slides template was laid out. The options given in Slides can be achieved in Canva (and much more!). Like the Slides template, the Canva template explains each part of the lesson plan so that students and parents can understand what was done in your classroom.
An "Agenda" slide was also provided, this slide can be displayed on your Promethean/Viewsonic or posted in Canvas/Google Classroom.
