- Keep jewelry modest in size to prevent food contamination.
- Jewelry in guest areas should be small and not distracting.
- Necklaces should be tucked inside clothing for safety.
- Rings should be plain bands without gemstones. Wear gloves over rings in food prep areas.
- Earrings should be simple metal studs with no decoration.
- Nostril piercings allowed with a single simple metal stud or clear/flesh-toned retainer.
- Follow local food code for nostril piercings.
- No other visible facial piercings allowed.
- Keep makeup subdued and in good taste.
- False eyelashes are allowed at the discretion of the operator and per health department guidelines.
- Avoid strong perfumes or colognes.
- Visible body modifications (like extended earlobes) are not allowed.
- Dental modifications should not be visible.
- Hair must be clean, neatly styled, and should not fall in front of the face or over the shoulder.
- Use restraints (like hairnets) to prevent loose hair from falling into food.
- Natural hair colors are allowed. Unnatural colors (like pink or green) are not allowed.
- Distracting hairstyles (like Mohawks) are not acceptable.
- Mustaches, goatees, and beards are allowed if neatly groomed.
- Sideburns should be trimmed to the bottom of the earlobe.
- No extreme styles or carvings allowed.
- Keep nails short and not extending beyond fingertips.
- False nails and nail gems are not allowed. Nail polish is okay but wear gloves when handling food.
- Tattoos should not be visible on the face or neck.
- Visible tattoos should be inoffensive and not contain profanity, explicit content, etc.
- If tattoos don't meet these criteria, they should be covered.
- Wear clean, pressed Chick-fil-A TeamStyle™ uniform.
- Nametag must be worn on the right chest.
- No additional pins, buttons, stickers, etc., on the uniform or nametag.
- Wear slip-resistant shoes when working inside the restaurant.
- Medical alert bracelets should be conservative in size and not worn in food prep areas.
Remember, presenting a professional appearance with good hygiene is important while working at Chick-fil-A!
