About
Data, code, and software sharing for astronomical research
As a spinoff of Harvard's Initiative in Innovative Computing, the Center for Astrophysics became host to a series of discussions which allowed for collaboration among groups interested in data and code sharing, and the creative use of software in astronomical research.
Originally funded from Microsoft Research, the work of Seamless Astronomy has led to recognized leadership in "e-science" within the broader scientific community. Key participants include:
Astrophysics Data Systems (ADS) team
Chandra Data Archive scientists
World Wide Telescope team
glue software team
the Wolbach Library
and many more!
